We still have about a month left of Hurricane Season.
We here at Azure Pool and Deck Design, Inc. want to make sure your pool area is safe and secure for in preparation for any incoming storms. We’ve compiled a few guidelines to insure the best possible outcome for your pool area when being faced with a hurricane.
- Do not drain your pool! Draining can cause structural damage. The weight of the water provides a counterbalance for the pool to prevent the pool from floating out of the ground.
- Shut off all power to your pools equipment sub panel. This will prevent any electrical damage to your electrical system should you equipment become submerged. If time allows, have your pool professional remove your pool pump and store in a dry place at the home.
- Secure any and all loose items in the pool area. This includes patio furniture, floats, covers and cleaning equipment.
- If your pool is equipped with a safety cover, secure it tightly. This will prevent large debris from entering the pool during the storm.
Most importantly, keep safe!
And what about after the storm? As a family business based in Estero, we care about our community. Let our family help your family restore your pool area after the storm.
